Opus accounts

I made the rest of the accounts on Opus for students who turned in their surveys tonight.

Be sure and change your password to something stronger. We will be using John the Ripper tomorrow in CIS 90 to find weak passwords.

Hi,

I'm having trouble becoming root when I putty in to opus to do lab 1.

Isn't the root password for everyone ********?

Thanks,

Janis

Hi Janis,

Opus will not work for doing the labs. You will need physical access to the computer to insert the pen drives. Also, Opus is a production server so the only access is via normal user accounts. There are systems available in the CIS Lab (room 2504) and one in the CTC (building 1400) for doing the labs. Oh, I muffled the password above.
