Yes & no! Let me explain.
Yes - Technically a PC's processor is finite by the physical laws and
it's processing cycles are being consumed by both the Window's
applications Firefox and VMServer.
No - For the virtual machine we created and began to install Ubuntu,
the installation process is the only process running (other than the
bootstrap image) and the virtual processor is dedicated to solely
that tasks. The virtual processor has no connection with Firefox.
