in Part 3 step 1d we do samba "ftp style" using the following command:

smbclient -U cis192 //elrond/depot192

in the "To turn in" section we use:

smbclient -U CIS192 //elrond/depot192


NOTE: the cis is lowercase in the first example and uppercase in the second and it doesn't matter. SInce Samba is based on Windows archtecture it has taken on its attributes.

I tend to forget that windows is case insensitive. In some ways it makes things easier, but I prefer a case sensitive OS. There's something i like about ThisFile being distinct from thisfile.

it coesn't hurt to use case sensitive syntax in an environment that is not case sensitive, so in my opinion it is good to automatically use the correct case, so that when you are in a case sensitive environmetn, you will not have as many issues from being used to ignoring the case.
