Introduction to UNIX/Linux

question #9

Postby Henry Woolard on Wed Dec 17, 2008 3:22 pm

the question #9 asks what command would suspend the process sleep 15. the answer that we got in class was ctrl -f, however, when this is pressed it stops the process and i cannot get it running again. it would seem that i am pressing ctrl -s instead of ctrl -f. how can i get the process running again. thanks

Here's what I found. type "jobs" to find what jobs you have running. There should be a number next to the sleeping job. Then use %(that number) to get that job running again.

For example: %1
