Help Rich - My lab extra credit found a new owner

Postby ollie wright on Wed Dec 17, 2008 4:20 pm

Wes went to run my labx1.wrigholi and could not find it. I found it in:
/home/cis90/wrigholi $ /home/cis90/mohanchi/labx1.wrigholi

ls -l shows him/her as the owner and I can't move it because I don't have the right permission.

I know it was in the correct folder 2 days ago because mine and 1 other were the only ones there.

Any ideas on how this may have happened? I have another copy I can move over. Do you want me to do that?

I received your Lab X1 submittal, moved it to my directory, and graded it this morning. Worked just fine.

BTW, anyone can copy any files on Opus they have read permission to. Whenever you do a copy the resulting file is owned by the user who made the copy. This would be a good way for students to help test each others scripts. To make sure the script can be run from anywhere by anyone.

I put another copy there just in case.

I tried the 2 other ones there and they don't work. They both seem to be hanging up.

Thanks.. Ollie
