OpenOffice question

Hello,

Do all (most) distros come with open office? Some of my physics classmates like to use it for writing formulas.

Thanks
Hilde

Hilde,

it's my experience that OpenOffice comes with most distros, usually by selecting some of sort of office/productivity check box, or some analogue of that, during installation; usually it's already checked for you. If for some reason you don't have it you can download it for most platforms Windows/Linux/Mac OS X (x86 and ppc). http://www.openoffice.org/
